I plan to be a counselor for Camp Kesem this coming summer (2018). I will be working as a counselor directly with a group of kids. This camp is a volunteer opportunity as well as a leadership opportunity. I have applied to not only be a counselor but also a unit coordinator for camp, which means I will be over multiple age groups which will provide an even bigger leadership opportunity. There is a lot of work that leads up to camp. As a counselor, it is required to fundraise a minimum of 500$ in order to send a child to camp cost-free. As counselors, it is expected to help with extra fundraising events and other community involvement. Counselors are also required to go through extensive training in order to attend camp.

  • I am positive and always willing to try new things

  • I work well with all age groups
